Today, I learned what it's like to be dead
It's a strange feeling, like a dying fox chasing a rabbit
Like the cold air surrounding the peak of a mountain
As if it was scalding water hitting my skin
A bride in a casket, roses laid upon her chest

I felt so beautiful, I felt like an angel
My eyes, they felt so heavy, I could barely keep my focus
My ears wouldn't stop ringing, old songs sounded so new
It was like possession, perhaps obsession

The words they said to me sounded so foreign, so familiar
Spinning, dancing, the world looks so lovely like this
I could barely look my memories in the eyes

I want to go back to where I came from
Though I know I'd only see the same things I see now
Even still, I want to return, I want to go home
